One shape.
One color.
One typeface.
DayStub is built from a single object, the stub, repeated with small differences. Keep it calm: off-white paper, ink, and marigold only where something counts.
The idea
A paystub proves you worked. A ticket stub proves you were there. A DayStub puts your day on the record.
Logo
- Clear space = a quarter of the mark. Keep it free on every side.
- Smallest size: mark 24px tall, lockup 120px wide.
- On photos: use the mark only. It carries its own marigold square.
- Retired: the black ticket with side notches read "movie ticket", so it's gone.
Wordmark
- DAY┆STUB: IBM Plex Mono SemiBold, all caps, tracking +8. The perforation splits the word where the stub tears.
- In sentences it's DayStub, capital S. Never "Daystub" or "Day Stub".
- The perforation is the only color in the wordmark. Ink or paper letters, never marigold letters.

Type
One typeface for everything: app, site, stubs. It reads like a receipt and a ticket at the same time. Free (SIL Open Font License).
DAY 304 · 6:12 PMMarks
Hand-drawn, but only a little. One mark per spot, each one slightly different from its neighbor.
Voice
Short. Plain. Receipt words: stub, proof, keep this, admit one, printed.
"Your day prints as a stub."
"Saved to today's journal."
"Today, on the record."
"Unlock your productivity potential."
"Your entry has been successfully saved!"
"The ultimate all-in-one solution."
Keep it clean
- No second accent color. No red, no blue.
- No second typeface.
- No shadows, gradients or outlines on the logo.
- No underlined links. Use a chip or a button.
- Don't rotate the logo. Stub cards may tilt a little, each one differently.
- No side notches on stubs: that's a movie ticket. Our stub is torn at the top.
